About EASE Cashmere

What is EASE Cashmere?

EASE Cashmere is a London cashmere label making luxury knitwear in pure two-ply Mongolian cashmere. Where is EASE Cashmere based?

EASE is a London-based label. We design and curate all collections from London, while our knitwear is produced in partnership with mills that source directly from Mongolian herders, no intermediaries. Read more on our story.

What makes EASE Cashmere different from other luxury cashmere brands?

Three things set EASE apart. First, we source directly from herders in Mongolia without using middlemen, which means better fibre quality and a more transparent supply chain. Second, every piece is knitted at twelve gauge in two-ply cashmere, making it denser and more durable than most knitwear at this price point. Third, we repair your piece free of charge within the first year. Luxury should last. Read the full story.

About Our Cashmere

What is two-ply cashmere?

Two-ply means two fibres twisted together before knitting. The result is a yarn that is stronger, heavier, and more resilient than single-ply. It holds its shape through washing and wear, and it pills far less over time. All EASE cashmere is two-ply, knitted at twelve gauge. It is the reason our pieces last a decade rather than a season.

What is twelve gauge knitting?

Gauge refers to the number of stitches per inch. Twelve gauge is a finer, denser knit than standard seven or ten gauge. It creates a smoother fabric with a more structured drape. Combined with two-ply yarn, it produces knitwear that feels immediately different in the hand.

Where does EASE source its cashmere from?

We source directly from herders in Inner Mongolia, where extreme winters produce fibres that are longer, finer, and softer than cashmere grown in warmer climates. The cold forces goats to grow an exceptionally fine undercoat — and that undercoat is what cashmere is made from. We buy directly, without intermediaries, which means we know exactly what we are paying for and who we are paying.

What does OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified mean?

OEKO-TEX Standard 100 is an independent certification that tests every component of a textile: fibre, dye, thread, trim for harmful substances. A certified piece has been tested and confirmed safe for skin contact at every stage of production. All EASE cashmere holds this certification. It is not a marketing claim; it is a tested standard.

Sizing & Fit

How should EASE cashmere fit?

Our knitwear is designed to sit close at the shoulder and relax through the body. If you are between sizes, size down for a fitted look and size up for an oversized feel. Sizes run XS through XL. Full measurements are in the size guide on each product page.

Do you offer a size guide?

Yes. Every product page includes a size guide with chest and body measurements in centimetres. We recommend measuring yourself and comparing against the guide rather than going by your usual clothing size, as knitwear sizing varies by gauge and construction.

Care & Repairs

How do I wash cashmere?

Hand wash in cold water with a specialist wool or cashmere detergent. Press gently, do not wring. Press between two clean towels to remove water, then lay flat to dry. Do not hang cashmere while wet; it will stretch. Store folded, never on a hanger.

Does EASE offer cashmere repairs?

Yes. The first repair is free within twelve months of purchase. If your piece needs attention, a small snag, a loose seam, light pilling, send it back and we will return it repaired. Contact us to arrange a repair.
